The Lost Food Project is a non-profit organisation in Malaysia that rescues quality, nutritious food that would otherwise end up in landfill, and redistributes this food to those who need it most – regardless of religion, gender, age, disability or ethnic group.

Although we work regularly with food donors who generously give their surplus food to be redistributed to those in need, we often don’t receive many essential items that are crucial to our partner charities being able to put food into the mouths of some of the most vulnerable people across KL and the Klang Valley. During monsoon season too, vegetables are expensive and in short supply.

That’s why for MYGiving Week we’re asking for donations of the essential items below, to help stock the cupboards of our charities and to ‘feed the hungry not the landfill.

  • Rice & Noodles (Rice, Noodles and Mee Hoon)
  • Milk Products (UHT Milk, Milo, Tea & Coffee)
