Hey everyone, I am Juliana Heng. I am an autistic stand-up comedian based in Kuala Lumpur. I will be representing Malaysia to audition for Britain’s Got Talent, performing stand-up comedy.
“Autism Acceptance Through Comedy” is a stand-up comedy piece on how I deal with autism & encourage people to relook at autism in a different light. This piece has earned a 2nd Runner Up in Short + Sweet Comedy Competition 2019 & 1st Runner Up in the Preliminary Round of Bangkok International Comedy Competition (BICC) 2019, sending me into BICC Finals 2019.
Since autism has not been extensively discussed in the stand-up comedy scene, I am blessed to be a pioneer when it comes to contributing my voice to the world of performing arts. I speak about my autism, in the hope that fellow autistics & parents with autistic children can have a light hearted yet thoughtful way of relooking at autism as a gift instead of an inconvenience or a burden.
The audition is happening on 15 December 2019 in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
However, I am short of funds to buy a flight ticket from Kuala Lumpur to London. Also, living in UK for a few weeks in the winter can be daunting for a first timer like me. If you wanna chip in for my journey to London so I can get to the Britain’s Got Talent 2020 audition, I will thank you my whole life!
There is no minimum amount because every dollar matters.
1) Fundraising my flight ticket to London 2) Fundraising living expenses through the winter 3) Borrowing Winter Clothes 4) Sort out accommodation in London 5) Work out transportation within London & outside London (My audition is in Nottingham)
Looking forward to check off “Making Simon Cowell laugh” on my bucket list & make Malaysia proud!!!
